This village is famous for the Kakani Malleswara Swamy Temple, which was constructed during the rule of the Vijayanagara king Krishnadevaraya. It is believed that if 'Possessed' people offer prayers to the deity here, they can get rid of the evil spirits tormenting them.There is also a dargah and a church in the village, both of which are Popular amongst tourists.
