It is located at about 40 km from Rajahmundry and is considered to be a sacred pilgrimage destination in Andhra. Also known as Dakshina Kasi, the Bhimeswara Swamy temple here is thronged bydevotees regularly. The architecture of the temple is splendid and is a perfect blend of both the Chalukya and Chola style. There are inscriptions dating from 1080 AD to 1434 AD, which are a pure delight for historians. In this temple, the Linga is 2.6 meters high is said to be made of one large crystal.
